While thy Booke doth live

Thou art a Moniment, without a tombe,
And art alive still, while thy Booke doth live,
And we have wits to read, and praise to give.

- Ben Jonson "To the memory of my beloved, The Author Mr. William Shakespeare: And what he hath left us:

A suitably bookish thing to do on a sunny afternoon in Paris is to stroll through the Latin Quarter and stop to browse for books here:

I see you had a great time! Did you have a chance to get inside? The rooms stock books up to the ceiling, as if the books supported the walls. It's a booklover's cave!

kay - more pics later. After I edit my pics, I'll post a link to my flickr stream.

Dorothy - You'd love spending time browsing in this book store.

Smithereens - I wish I had more time to spend in the store. I could have spent hours there. I bought just enough books that my suitcase was too heavy to be put on the small commuter flight that was my final leg of my return. But, my bags made their way home the same evening. :)

Oh, that looks lovely! I want to be there right now! Paris has been on my radar since Pittsburgh got direct flights there...Sam and I have been loosely discussing the possibility.
And thanks for your comments about Skylar's pics on facebook!!

Courtney, if you go, email me & I can give you name of a hotel that's pleasant, clean, convenient and reasonably priced.

Nova, I wonder why I hadn't made it to Shakespeare & Co on previous trips. I could browse there & at the bouquinistes for hours.
